As part of this workshop, the EHCR Lab delivered a dedicated session on 27 November, titled β€œBuilding Coastal Resilience with Nature-Based and Eco-Engineered Solutions.” This session featured four presentations from EHCR researchers, each addressing innovative strategies to strengthen coastal ecosystems:

βœ… List of the presentations are:

🧱 Integrating biodiversity into coastal defense: A comparative study of traditional and eco-engineered vertical seawalls in mitigation of wave overtopping
Presented by: Arman Habib, Postdoctoral Researcher

🌱 Experimental study on wave attenuation using a hybrid coastal protection approach with seagrass and artificial reefs
Presented by: Xihang Xu, PhD Student

πŸ¦ͺ Oyster reefs as a nature-based solution for coastal protection: An experimental study
Presented by: Hani Ghasemi, PhD Student

🐠 Coastal protection services provided by nature-based solutions through artificial or natural reefs: A systematic literature review
Presented by: Mirajul Hossain, Research Master’s Student
